Phase Two of the Erwin High School field renovation program will begin in the fall of 2007. These plans include: top dressing the outfield and overseeding with Kentucky Bluegrass, cutting a warning track from foul pole to foul pole, and erecting a new block and netting backstop.
Once again these upgrades have to be self-funded as the school has very limited resources. We'll begin fundraising efforts shortly, and any support and aid from the friends of Warrior baseball will be much appreciated.

Erwin High School baseball has a rich tradition since its inception almost 40 years ago, winning the Conference, qualifying for the State tournament, winning Group 3A Western North Carolina’s sectional, and playing in the State final game.
Nevertheless, it has been a decade since the Warriors last made an appearance in the state playoffs. Currently, the team is entering the third year of a five year plan to rebuild Erwin baseball into a regional and state power.
